The resistance of the intracanal retention thickness with flowable short fiber reinforced composite (SFRC) materials towards fracture toughness

ABSTRACTIntroduction: Dental hard tissue problems were relatively high in Indonesia. If these ignored, they would cause pulpal necrosis. The main treatment for this case was Root Canal Treatment (RCT). selection of post-RCT and suitable materials important. One the examples short fiber reinforced composite (SFRC) which can be an option intracanal retention treatment. This study aims to analyze resistance thickness with flowable toward fracture toughness. Methods: research using a correlative laboratory experimental method post-test group-only design. study's samples SFRC material inserted 27 extracted mandibular first premolars length 21 mm ± 2 root canal walls width mm. All given at depth below orifice divided into 3 groups: (A) 6 mm, (B) 5 (C) 4 RCT performed crown-down technique. bonding agent applied, then light cured 20 seconds. applied according sample group seconds per followed by filling resin. implanted dental stone CEJ. toughness test UTM on occlusal surface 0o tilt crosshead 1 mm/min. Results: results A, B, C are 735.44, 756.78, 829 respectively. Statistical tests one-way ANOVA showed no significant difference p value = 0.412 (p < 0.05).
